We are in Disko Bay the morning and the amount of ice is
pretty amazing. We are scheduled to go
ashore at Camp Frieda and the first group made it to shore with no
problems. However, shortly afterwards
the ice started drifting rather extensively so the Captain called everyone back
on. These are shots of the icebergs from the ship.
Later in the day they gave all of us who didn’t get to go ashore an opportunity to take a cruise through the ice in a little zodiac.
A gull posed for us on an iceberg.
It was a real treat. The sun was on the water and the ice was everywhere. No complaints.
Heading back we had some good views of the Fram with icebergs all around. Looked sort of isolated and lonely.
